Starbucks has announced that from tomorrow it is to hike the prices of some products due to the rising cost of raw materials, which it said have been impacted by abnormal climate conditions and other global factors.
The announcement was published on the company's Facebook page in the early hours today.

It did not specify which items would be affected or the specific amounts.
However, it did say that its in-store refill discount — a promotion that offers customers a reduced price on refills of the same beverage during the same sitting — would be increased from 30 to 50 percent across all locations to show its appreciation for customer support.
Asked about the adjustments, Starbucks said that its freshly brewed espresso and daily brewed coffee would increase by NT$5, while tea-based beverages and Frappuccinos would rise by NT$10.
Affected espresso beverages include Americanos, lattes and caramel macchiatos, while the daily brewed coffee category includes cold brew and nitro cold brew, Starbucks said.

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck off Taitung County at 1:09pm today, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) said. The hypocenter was 53km northeast of Taitung County Hall at a depth of 12.5km, CWA data showed. The intensity of the quake, which gauges the actual effect of a seismic event, measured 4 in Taitung County and Hualien County on Taiwan's seven-tier intensity scale, the data showed.
