Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) is scheduled to depart for Japan today for a four-day visit, during which he is to attend an international sustainable city summit in Tokyo.
An itinerary released by the Taipei City Government on Monday showed that Chiang is to meet with members of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party Youth Division after arriving in Tokyo.
He is to attend a dinner party organized by SusHi Tech Tokyo, which has an exhibition, forums and meetings with city leaders around the world tomorrow and on Thursday.

Tomorrow morning, Chiang is to attend the City Leaders Program, one of the SusHi Tech Tokyo special events, during which he is to deliver a speech on safe city construction to highlight Taipei’s safeguards against earthquakes and other natural disasters.
At an event in Taipei on Monday, Chiang said he hoped that the exchanges on urban governance would further promote Taipei and boost its international relationships.
The city government said that the mayor would meet with Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike this afternoon to discuss safety, sports and cooperation between the two cities.
Also today, he is to visit the Tokyo Chinese School and meet with members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly.
On Friday, Chiang is to attend a breakfast meeting with the Japan-ROC Diet Members’ Consultative Council to thank the group for its support of Taiwan and express Taipei’s desire to foster stronger exchanges with more Japanese cities.
In the afternoon, the Taipei mayor is to tour the Tokyo Dome to learn about its operations and promote the continued progress of the Taipei Dome, the city government said.
Chiang is also to attend a Taiwan food festival near Tokyo Skytree on Friday morning before returning to Taiwan that afternoon, his itinerary showed.

A woman who allegedly attacked a high-school student with a utility knife, injuring his face, on a Taipei metro train late on Friday has been transferred to prosecutors, police said yesterday.
