A Taichung man has been indicted under suspicion of violating gun laws, after police raided his home in response to a video he posted online firing guns at targets.
Police said they raided the home of a 30-year-old man surnamed Shih (施) in Taichung’s Dali District (大里), after tracking down his location based on information in a video he posted online.

Police confiscated an air rifle, two modified toy guns, two shotgun shells, a reloading press, two vernier calipers and other items from Shih’s residence.
During questioning, Shih told police that he goes to shooting ranges as a hobby, and that he had brought home the shotgun shells from a shooting range as souvenirs.
Police said that the modified guns and bullets in Shih’s possession were confirmed by the Criminal Investigation Bureau to be lethal, and therefore indicted Shih on suspicion of violating the Controlling Guns, Ammunition and Knives Act (槍砲彈藥刀械管制條例).
The case has been transferred to the Taichung District Prosecutors’ Office.

A cat named Mikan (蜜柑) has brought in revenue of more than NT$10 million (US$305,390) for the Kaohsiung MRT last year.
