With more than 65 routes throughout Taiwan, “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle” buses provide connections from major domestic high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways Administration, MRT and highway stations to important sightseeing spots, saving visitors time and money.
Multiple payment methods are available, and some routes offer accessibility friendly schedules, electronic audio guides and various value packages, making Taiwan Tourist Shuttle the best partner for domestic and foreign tourists traveling in Taiwan.
To promote migrant workers to travel in Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications last year partnered with the Employment Service Association to organize a one-day tour for migrant workers on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Douliu Gukeng route to visit popular scenic spots, such as Taiping Old Street, Yunzhong Street Cultural and Creative Cluster, and Janfusun Fancyworld in Yunlin County.
The 15 tour participants were from the Philippines and Indonesia, all of whom have been working in Taiwan for many years. The event offered them the opportunity to experience the convenience of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle.
One of the tour members said that during holidays most of them could only meet friends at a local railway station for meal gatherings and chat, because they do not have access to transportation.
Through the experience, they got to know various services offered by the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, as well as the travel routes that they access from train stations, so that they can take the shuttle to more places with their friends from the railway station.
What is more, the prices are quite affordable.
Another member of the group said that there were multilanguage station announcements on the bus during the ride.
Furthermore, after scanning a QR code on the bus, they could listen to an English-language audio guide for the attractions, so they did not have to worry about getting off at the wrong station and could also learn how to travel after getting off the bus, which is very tourist-friendly.

The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency yesterday launched a gift box to market honey “certified by a Formosan black bear” in appreciation of a beekeeper’s amicable interaction with a honey-thieving bear. Beekeeper Chih Ming-chen (池明鎮) in January inspected his bee farm in Hualien County’s Jhuosi Township (卓溪) and found that more than 20 beehives had been destroyed and many hives were eaten, with bear droppings and paw prints near the destroyed hives, the agency said. Chih returned to the farm to move the remaining beehives away that evening when he encountered a Formosan black bear only 20m away, the agency said. The bear
