The Taipei Fubon Braves on Wednesday defeated the New Taipei Kings 118-104 in Game 6 of the P.League+ Finals to claim their third consecutive championship title and a hefty bonus from their sponsor Fubon Financial Holding Co.
The Braves led 26-25 after the first quarter and 56-55 at halftime in front of a full house of 7,000 at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium.
The Braves grabbed the momentum in the second half, with guard Lin Chih-chieh going three-for-three from beyond the arc to stretch their lead to 91-81 at the end of the third quarter.

After opening the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run, the Braves ran down the clock in the final 10 minutes, coasting to a comfortable 14-point win and clinching the series 4-2.
Braves center Chris Johnson, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, led Taipei with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Lin added 23 points.
For the Kings, guard Joseph Lin scored a game-high 37 points, including five three-pointers.

Meanwhile, Fubon Financial announced record bonuses for the Braves of NT$30 million (US$976,435) to celebrate their championship, the Economic Daily News reported yesterday.
Subsidiaries of the group also launched a series of activities, inviting fans to share in the winning moment with its “Positive Power Makes Possibilities” promotion.
Fubon Financial has been the team’s principal sponsor since 2014.
Fubon Financial Holdings told the newspaper that it has been involved professional Taiwanese basketball for a long time and is committed to cultivating the sport.
It has helped the Braves become an iconic Asian basketball team and the leaders of Taiwanese basketball, it said.
