翻譯 Translation
Qingqing: Tomorrow is Christmas; How time flies!
Huahua: Tonight is Christmas Eve, which is generally said to be the time of Jesus’s birth; it’s also known as Silent Night.
Qingqing: Christmas Eve and Christmas were originally significant events for Christians, but now even non-believers celebrate it. However, many people don’t know the meaning of this holiday.
Huahua: That’s right. I’ve even heard that little kids think
it’s Santa Claus’ birthday.
Qingqing: That’s so interesting. Hanging red stockings by the bed, waiting for the “birthday star” to bring gifts — is that right?
Huahua: When I was a child, I really believed that Santa Claus existed.
Qingqing: By the way, David set up a Christmas tree at his house and invited us to a party tonight to exchange gifts. Are you ready?
Huahua: I’m ready. I hope you’ll pick my gift; I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

Global coffee prices have soared to their highest in nearly 50 years due to poor weather in Brazil and Vietnam, forcing roasters such as Nestle to raise prices and consumers to hunt for cheaper brews amid the cost of living crisis. Spiking prices will benefit farmers with the crop this year, but challenge traders who face crippling hedging costs on exchanges and a scramble to receive the beans they pre-bought. WHAT DRIVES PRICES? Production problems linked to bad weather in Brazil and Vietnam have seen global supplies lagging demand for three years. The vast ocean stages countless miracles of life, but none are quite as awe-inspiring as the phenomenon of a “whale fall.” When a giant whale reaches the end of its life, its immense body gently descends and eventually lands in the inky abyss. This moment, which might seem like the end, ignites a burst of new life on the ocean floor. Deep beneath the ocean’s surface, where sunlight is unable to venture and nutrients are scarce, a whale fall is like an oasis in a barren landscape. Over decades, even centuries, the remains of a single whale can sustain thousands of

If you’ve ever seen detailed photographs of Paris’s Notre Dame cathedral, you may have noticed a striking feature of the building: large, circular windows divided by intricately arranged stonework radiating out from a central point like flower petals. The stonework encases colorful stained-glass windowpanes full of Catholic icons and symbolism. Called a “rose window,” this adornment can be found in cathedrals across Europe, although the style was most popular in France. The rose window is a key element of “Gothic architecture,” a highly ornate style of architecture popular from Europe’s High Middle Ages to the Late Middle Ages, roughly
