Qingqing: Huahua, I’m thinking of going to Taipei on Sunday. Do you have any good suggestions?
Huahua: This Sunday? I suggest you pick another day.
Qingqing: Why? Is there something special happening?
Huahua: Yes. The 2024 Taipei Marathon starts at 6:30AM at Civic Square. There will be traffic restrictions that day.
Qingqing: Wow, it’s bound to be lively. You’re right; I should avoid going that day.
Huahua: I really admire people who can run marathons. This time, the full marathon is over 40km, and even the half marathon is more than 20. I can barely manage one kilometer.
Qingqing: Same here. I just saw on my phone that there’s even a wheelchair category for the half marathon. I feel so humbled.
Huahua: Let’s cheer them on together, then.

In cities around the world, a group of enthusiasts practice this seemingly impossible sport — “parkour.” The origins of parkour can be traced back to 20th-century France. This training method cleverly combined climbing, running, and swimming with artificial barriers to mimic nature. Later, David Belle
Street lights are often taken for granted until a power outage plunges the world into darkness. When that happens, the value of these lighting installations becomes evident as the world turns into a more dangerous place for pedestrians and motorists alike.
