Huáhua: Nǐ shǔjià búshì cái qùguò, zěnme yòu yào qù Jīnmén a?
清清：這次不一樣，我是要去參加那裡的萬聖節活動的！
Qīngqing: Zhècì bù yíyàng, wǒ shì yào qù cānjiā nàlǐ de Wànshèngjié huódòng de!
華華：蛤？金門的萬聖節活動？怎麼這麼有趣？
Huáhua: Há? Jīnmén de Wànshèngjié huódòng? Zěnme zhème yǒuqù?
清清：我在網路上看到去年他們辦的「變裝踩街嘉年華」，非常轟動，所以今年我要去朝聖。

翻譯 Translation
Qingqing: Huahua, I’m going to Kinmen in a couple of days. Is there any local specialty you’d like me to bring back?
Huahua: Didn’t you just go there during the summer vacation? Why are you going to Kinmen again?
Qingqing: This time it’s different. I’ll be going to their Halloween event.
Huahua: Huh? Halloween in Kinmen? That sounds interesting.
Qingqing: I saw online that last year they had a fancy dress carnival, which was very popular, so this year I’m going as a pilgrim.
Huahua: I knew Kinmen has historic battle sites, but I didn’t expect there would also be interesting events.

A Cameroon-flagged cargo vessel “Shunxin-39” was believed to have caused damage to an undersea cable of Taiwan telecoms operator Chunghwa Telecom on the morning of Jan. 3.
