翻譯 Translation
Xiaoqing: There’s a tangyuan-making event for Dongzhi today. Do you want to join?
Xiaohua: Sure! Making tangyuan is fun! Plus, we get to eat them, too.
Xiaoqing: Do you know why we eat tangyuan on Dongzhi?
Xiaohua: Is it because the round tangyuan symbolize reunion?
Xiaoqing: Wow! You got it right! Did you also know that eating tangyuan means you’ve gained another year?
Xiaohua: Why! I don’t want to age another year! I won’t eat tangyuan then!
Xiaoqing: On Dongzhi, the shortest day of the year, the days will get longer after this, and the new year is approaching. You can’t avoid getting older!
Xiaohua: Sigh! I’ll just eat a little less tangyuan then, hoping to age a bit slower!

A Cameroon-flagged cargo vessel “Shunxin-39” was believed to have caused damage to an undersea cable of Taiwan telecoms operator Chunghwa Telecom on the morning of Jan. 3.
