Two late goals by substitute Hasan Abdel-Fattah brought Jordan from two goals down against South Korea to snatch a 2-2 draw in a 2010 World Cup qualifier yesterday.
Goals from Park Ji-sung of Manchester United and Park Chu-young had South Korea cruising toward a win that would have gone a long way toward putting them in the next stage of qualifiers, but Jordan struck twice in the space of seven minutes to earn an unlikely and valuable away draw after a largely one-sided contest.
The point keeps South Korea on top of Group 3 after three matches, but North Korea can move into first place tomorrow should they win away against Turkmenistan.
The hosts pressured Jordan from the beginning and the breakthrough came in the 39th minute when a deep corner from the right was headed back into the six-yard box. Lee Chung-young headed on and from close range Park smashed the ball into the roof of the Jordan net.
Soon after the restart, Cho Won-hee slalomed through the Jordan defense and was brought down by Ala Matalka, though the visitors claimed the offense took place outside the area.
Park Chu-young fired home the penalty.
Jordan came out of their shells through necessity and shocked the home fans after 72 minutes.
Abdel-Fattah saw his first shot from close range blocked by goalkeeper Kim Yong-dae, but he reacted quickly to slide the rebound into the net.
Seven minutes later Abdel-Fattah ran through a huge gap in the South Korean defense to fire home from the edge of the area.

Just as they did in the Supercup against VfB Stuttgart and in the league opener to Borussia Moenchengladbach, Leverkusen scored first, but were pegged back. However, while Leverkusen rallied late to
