Taiwan’s Hsu Shu-ching (許淑淨) won two golds and one silver medal in the women’s under-53kg division at the World Weightlifting Championships in Houston, Texas, on Sunday.
Hsu won gold in the clean and jerk with a lift of 125kg, and silver in the snatch with a lift of 96kg. China’s Chen Xiaoting (陳曉婷) won the snatch with a lift of 101kg.
Hsu had a combined lift of 221kg, which earned her a second gold medal. It is her first gold in the combined lift at the championships and her third in international competitions.
