The Sinon Bulls continued their winning ways by downing the Brother Elephants 9-5 at the Douliou County Baseball Stadium on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to six.
The win not only tied a club record for longest win-streak, but also nipped a nine-game losing skid versus the Elephants for the top-ranked Bulls.
Leading the potent Bulls offense that had averaged over six runs per game in the six contests prior to Wednesday’s match was rookie slugger Lin Yi-chuen who upped his league-leading hits and RBI total to 14 and 8 respectively by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs en route to his first game-MVP honor of the season.
Also starring for the Bulls was Cheng Hong-da who went a perfect 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while starter Yu Wen-pin allowed four runs on ten hits in seven innings to earn his first win of the year.
Inability to create any big innings against the Bulls pitching despite collecting a dozen hits, including a two-run home run by Wang Sheng-wei off Yu, ultimately cost the Elephants the game as they fell to 3-5 for the season.

The La New Bears ended a three-game slide by erupting for ten runs against a struggling Uni-President Lions pitching staff to kick off the week with a 10-4 win in Kaohsiung on Tuesday night.
